Tiger Woods “sext” scandal gets weirder, raunchier

I don’t know if any of you have heard about the whole sex scandal with Tiger Woods, but if the world famous golfer thought the worst was behind him, when he woke up this morning to the news that one of his alleged mistresses, porn star Joslyn James (real name: Veronica Siwik-Daniels), had put up 100 of his “sexy” text messages to her online at a site called Sexting Joslyn James.com, he was certainly disabused of that notion immediately. If his wife is already as homicidal as she seems to be, he’d better make sure all of his golf clubs (and all sharp objects) are well out of her grasp when she gets a load of this site, because this will push her well over the edge! It would be in poor taste for me to reprint them here, but trust me, this is some good, hilarious shit.

Unless, of course, you’re Tiger Woods…

Okay, here’s some of the better ones. Yuu don’t get her side, but it’s pretty obvious how she answers anyway:

Tiger:Sent: 01:28 PM 09/08/2009:
Have you ever had a golden shower done to you

Tiger:Sent: 01:29 PM 09/08/2009:
Just morbid curiosity

Tiger:Sent: 01:30 PM 09/08/2009:
Really. You. You have done just about everything havent you

Tiger:Sent: 01:32 PM 09/08/2009:
Never done it. I think i would get stage freight

The dude is fuckin’ toast, isn’t he? Talk about revenge served cold… ouch.

Xiu Xiu: Dear God I Hate Myself

It’s difficult to make a music video anymore that people actually pay attention to. Lady Gaga, sure, but she’s got all the money in the world at her disposal when she makes a video. But San Francisco-based indie rockers Xiu Xiu, known for their angsty assemblage of heavily orchestrated chamber pop noise have released a new clip for the title track of their new album Dear God, I Hate Myself. It’s low budget but has a gimmick that makes it so you just can’t turn away. Even if you want to. You have been warned.

Vile incident at Tea party protest in Ohio

If there was an American Idol for total assholism, the guy in this clip—you won’t wonder who I’m talking about, either—would be the unanimous winner. By national acclaim. A round of applause for the biggest fuckwit in America, please!

Hell, Chris Matthews even got Republican Mike Spence to admit this guy/these people is/are “despicable.” This is pretty much as low as it goes. Watch as this idiot literally starts throwing dollar bills at a man with Parkinson’s disease who is pro-health care reform. This turned my stomach in a way that not one lousy clip of the wingnuts and morons at the McCain/Palin rallies in 2008 could. This man (and the rest of these low IQ tea partying meanies) is a vile piece of shit. You have to wonder what went through his tiny mind (pride?) when he saw himself on television last night.

If that man can somehow be identified—anyone in Columbus, Ohio recognize him?—he should be fucked with mercilessly (identity theft would be a nice start). If there is a God, he’s not on this man’s side. Karma’s a bitch, shithead. I can’t wait until it comes back to bite your dumb ass…

But there is actually some good that comes out of incident like this, something that is so repulsive and mean and just… dumb: Eventually the public looks at creeps like him, especially younger people, and it turns them right off to anything the Republican Party have to say to them. Forever. GOPers, tea partying ignoramuses, your days are numbered. You are the past, not the future, of America. The demographic tide will bury you and there is nothing you can do about it. Nothing at all. Good riddance. Fuck off. America doesn’t need you.

These living installations are truly exceptional and bizarre. I definitely had to give them a second or tenth glance. From the artist Alexa Meade’s website:

Alexa Meade is an installation artist based in the Washington, DC area. Her background in the world of political communications has fueled her intellectual interest in the tensions between perception and reality.

Alexa Meade’s innovative use of paint on the three dimensional surfaces of found objects, live models, and architectural spaces has been incorporated into a series of installations that create a perceptual shift in how we experience and interpret spatial relationships.

Alex Chilton 1967!  The Box Tops!

Before Alex Chilton discovered power pop with Memphis, Tennessee legends Big Star, he was one of the best blue-eyed soul singers around as part of The Box Tops.  Originally founded by drummer Danny Smythe in 1963 as The Devilles, they eventually became The Box Tops by 1967 along with members Chilton (lead vocal, guitar), John Evans (guitar, keyboards, background vocals), Bill Cunningham (bass guitar, keyboards, background vocal), and Gary Talley (lead guitar, electric sitar, bass, background vocals).

Their first single, The Letter would give them a hit single in 1967, catapulting the band to national fame.  They would follow their debut hit with further chart toppers, including Cry Like A Baby in 1968, before disbanding in 1970.  Chilton would, of course, find his future Big Star pals around Tennessee and move on from there.
