What follows below are a pair of newly uploaded Rock Music Exposed clips from YouTube channeler, Triplexity, and were apparently culled from the two-part ‘89 documentary, Hell’s Bells (which, to my knowledge, remains in VHS-only exile).

The intro, clip 1 of 36 (!) and found here, lays out the Hell’s Bells agenda, “to help people understand the big picture, peel back the veneer of pop culture, and gaze into the bedrock of truth that lies beneath.”

Since it also hopes to serve as, “a wake-up call, an alarm warning of the fire raging just down the hall,” you can bet your salvation its earnest-but-porny-looking narrator means a “Christian truth.”  I know, sounds like a snooze.  We’ve seen—and smirked—at this kind of crap on numerous occasions. 

But readers of Dangers Minds might find far more compelling the below clips, 12 and 13.  In them, Hell’s Bells puts under the Christian magnifying glass Kenneth Anger, Mick Jagger, Timothy Leary and The Beatles.

 
“I want to agitate people, wake them up,” says Chauncey Killens.  Well, Chauncey, mission accomplished!  Killens was spotted in Shreveport, Louisiana, brandishing a sign that read, “ADULT w/ Child Sex Is Okay.”  Shreveport passerby were seriously unamused.

Said one woman who confronted Killens, “The first thing I’m thinking is I want to come over here and slap the shit out of the man.”  Well, as these things often go, the truth about Killens is slightly more complicated:

He says he opposes adults having sex with children, just like he opposes gay marriage—the real reason he’s here.  “Once you allow same sex marriage, it’s only inevitable that the other groups are also going to fight for their rights,” said Killens.  He sees gay marriage as a slippery slope, and at the bottom of the hill would be laws passed in favor of groups like NAMBLA- the North American Man Boy Love Association.  “You’re going to have to allow polygamy, incest, bestiality pedophiles,” said Killens.

“I’m just trying to figure out what this is about,” said another bystander.  Some might call him brave, others might call him stupid, when asked where he thinks he rates, Killens replied, “[I’m] probably a combination of both.”

Prahlad Jani updated: casting doubt on the possibility he’s sneaking Clif bars, super-extreme faster Prahlad Jani has now gone without food, water, crapping and pissing for 15 days, all of them under the round-the-clock eye of surveillance cameras and closed-circuit TVs.

A practicing breatharian, Jani claims to derive all his necessary nourishment from sunlight and meditation.  This seemingly miraculous ability to withstand the ravages of starvation has vexed both Brentwood housewives and Jani’s doctors in the Indian state of Gujarat:

“We still do not know how he survives,” neurologist Sudhir Shah told reporters after the end of the experiment.  “It is still a mystery what kind of phenomenon this is.”  “If Jani does not derive energy from food and water, he must be doing that from energy sources around him, sunlight being one,” said Shah.  “As medical practitioners we cannot shut our eyes to possibilities, to a source of energy other than calories.”

During Jani’s 2-week period of observation, doctors subjected him to a variety of tests, the results of which will be released in the months to come.  Jani, meanwhile, has returned to his village to resume his routine of yoga and meditation.

This YouTube clip of Pentecostal teenage girls seen “speaking in tongues” after a church service is a depressing thing to watch. These girls are the victims of peer pressure and slow, steady intellectual child abuse. I heard about this from a friend about a year ago but Everything is Terrible linked to it today… however, I couldn’t find the embed code for their mashup version, so I’ve included the original below along with a link to EIT.
