Ted Haggard: Now Really, Seriously, Super Not Gay

Gayle Haggard, wife of multiple inner-demon battling Ted, is now absolutely convinced that the disgraced Reverend’s cast aside his amphetamine-fueled, same-sex loving ways.  And not only has she written a book about how really NOT gay Ted now is, she sat down with Meredith Vieira to discuss it:

Gayle Haggard appeared on the “Today” show on Wednesday to talk about her new book, “Why I Stayed: The Choices I Made In My Darkest Hour,” and declared that her one-time Evangelical superstar husband was cured of his homosexual compulsions.

“Our sexuality is conditioned, and we can be conditioned in any number of ways,” she told Meredith Vieira.  “Ted was dealing with certain compulsions that were unwanted.”  However, through therapy, she claims those compulsions—which she said Ted had suffered from most of his life—were gone.

Regarding the compulsions Haggard “suffered” from and subsequently “cured” himself of, Gayle was considerate enough to later point out that that might not be the path for everyone.

Engaging demonic forces is no longer just a boy’s game!  Meet Hasbro’s new Ouija board.  It’s $19.99, targeted at girls between the ages of 8 and 12, and pink to better lure our daughters into making pacts with “Captain Howdy.”

From the ToysRUs product description:

Concentrate very hard and watch as the answer is revealed in the message window.  Make up your own questions, and let the OUIJA Board satisfy your curiosity in virtually endless ways.  OUIJA Board will answer.  It’s just a game—or is it?

Scientologists heal injured in Haiti using touch

A wealthy donor has sent a group of 50 Haitian-American doctors and volunteers from the Church of Scientology to Haiti at the cost of $400,000. The church members are using a controversial healing technique to help relief efforts:

“We’re trained as volunteer ministers, we use a process called ‘assist’ to follow the nervous system to reconnect the main points, to bring back communication,” she said.

“When you get a sudden shock to a part of your body the energy gets stuck, so we re-establish communication within the body by touching people through their clothes, and asking people to feel the touch.”

Okay. Let’s accept this at face value. If this works, why doesn’t medical science know about it?

“One hour ago he had no sensation in his left leg, so I explained the method to him, I touched him and after a while he said ‘now I feel everything’,” said Sylvie.“Otherwise they might have had to amputate his other leg. Now his sister knows the method and she can do it.”

Asked about the method being used on him, a smiling Elweels described it as “a sort of harmony between the nerves, a kind of exercise. I couldn’t feel at all, but then I could.” Does he know Scientology? “Yes, it’s a French organization,” he said.

“All the patients are happy with the technique,” said Sylvie. “But some doctors don’t like the yellow T-shirts. It’s a color thing,” she insisted. Another group of Scientologists distributed antibiotic pills. “The doctors said give everyone with wounds antibiotics,” said Italian volunteer Marina.

Some doctors at the hospital are skeptical. One US doctor, who asked not to be named, snorted: “I didn’t know touching could heal gangrene.”

When asked what the Scientologists are doing here, another doctor said: “I don’t know.”

Do you care? “Not really,” she said, wheeling an unconscious patient out of the operating room to join hundreds of others in the hospital’s sunny courtyard.

The Coming “Demographic Winter”

“On every measure, ever measured by the social scientists, the intact married family is the strongest on every outcome ever measured.”  This Demographic Winter documentary sounds terrifying!  Not for its suggestion that the human race is dying out, but, as Sociological Images’ Gwen Sharp points out, for its apparently singular concern over the white human race.  You know, everyone “blessed” enough to live in either Europe or America.  And while information at the Demographic Winter site hardly states this pointblank, there’s no denying the film’s underlying message:

Is there a ?

This is disturbing. Can you imagine being responsible for responding to this on a governmental level? Talk about a mine field, you’d be getting this from all sides no matter you you did.
Clearly, though, they’ve got to do something. It just won’t be easy. Or popular. Yikes.

Police have identified children as young as seven being groomed for terrorism, with some expressing a wish to become suicide bombers.

Up to 10 primary school pupils, aged between seven and 10, have been placed on a government outreach programme for individuals considered at risk of being radicalised and turning to violence.

Some have taken inspiration from jihadi websites or after viewing extremist material in Islamic bookshops.

One child was referred to the programme by his teacher after writing on a school book: ?

The disclaimer at the God’s Little Ones reads: “Warning if you have had an abortion or miscarriage this page may be hard to view.  If you choose to proceed you may want a tissue box near by.”  The site also feature dolls in various stages of “gestation.”  The photo below shows dolls ranging from eight to eighteen weeks.

And while it might be true that we’re all created in His image, “creation” costs more for some of us than others: “Models available in pink, tan and brown skin tones others available upon request add $10.00 for brown as it is a more expensive pigment.”
