Provocateur Cops Disguised As Anarchists At G20, Pittsburgh

From the Intelligence Daily:

Three undercover officers attempt to infiltrate a March Against Police Brutality at the University of Pittsburgh, but fail miserably due to their horrendous disguise attempts. During the march, one of them breaks a photographer’s camera. This is just one example of a larger pattern of attempts to silence the media during the G20 protests.

Video is kind of a comedy on both sides. The protesters seem to be ranting some kind of gibberish composed of Bob Dylan and N.W.A. albums (“Fuck the police”? “Remember Kent State”? How about trying “We’re all in this together against malevolent corporations who see all of us as slaves and whores and are hard at work ruining all of our lives, our species and the planet?”) Meanwhile, you gotta laugh at the anarchists who look like linebackers. Come on, kids. Y’all need to make friends just like Juggalos and Maggots.

From his rural Canadian outpost, ManWoman, author of “The Gentle Swastika,” and a favorite artist of Dan Aykroyd, continues his quest to “detoxify” the dreaded Nazi symbol:

Born at the start of WWII to a Polish immigrant mother, whose sister and her baby were put in Auschwitz, “Manny” (his original name was Patrick) inherited all the ?

Racist, xenophobic, conspiracy theory-spouting shit-stain on the reputation of CNN. Lou Dobbs has got to go. I used to like Lou Dobbs, but the sight of him today makes my stomach turn. If, like me, you feel like Dobbs “message” is bad for the country, there is a petition to DROP DOBBS that will go straight to his corporate masters, i.e. companies who advertise on his program. Put the pressure on them to Drop Dobbs!

The Realistic Sculptures of Thomas Kuebler

Thomas Kuebler’s art form is striking and unique. He is one talented sculptor! I’d have to rate his work as far better than anything I’ve ever seen in a Madame Tussaud’s, that’s for sure. Above is Kuebler’s tribute to Simon “Schlitzie” Metz, a notable American sideshow performer, best known for his role in Tod Browning’s Freaks.

Here is my personal favorite sculpture by Kuebler, Siamese rednecks Cletus and Shorty:

There is a place beyond Razorback Hollow where the deep woods dirt roads lead to an isolated community of characters. One such fellow… er, fellows are Cletus and Shorty Greeley. It was believed that the brothers would not survive infancy, yet they grew to be quite powerful. Although intelligence is not among their assets, they seem to be quite self-sufficient and get along fine in the small community that has known and accepted them since birth.

Come Together: The Ike & Tina Turner Review

This post is dedicated to all the “care trolls” who fired up their email devices to tell me how “disappointed” they were in me that I seem to think Ike Turner is such a great musician and blah, blah, blah, and how this must mean that I am all a misogynist, too.  Huh? Y’all need to get a life life—there are WAY more serious things in the world to be concerned about if you ask me—but the thing that really got my goat was the insinuation that I disrespect TINA TURNER, the Queen of rock and roll?

You don’t know me! How dare you?!? No no no. Just because I like Ike, does not mean I’m dissing Tina. Not by a long shot, she’s considered a goddess in this household!

I listened to an Ike & Tina Turner greatest hits collection full blast yesterday as I worked, and I searched YouTube for a performance clip of their amazing cover of the Beatles “Come Together” to share here:

Here’s the amazing Acid Queen sequence from Tommy:

Baroness Thatcher’s Funeral

Brit guerrilla funnyman Mark Thomas has a pre-formatted postcard on his website that you can send to the Queen to let her know what your plans will be during Baroness Thatcher’s State sponsored funeral—and no, the old bat is not dead yet, sadly, so this is still theoretical.

Amongst the options are singing “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” along the entire procession, setting off fireworks, holding a barbecue outside of Westminster Abbey wearing a comedy apron and my favorite, throwing coal at the coffin. You can also let your opinion be known to #10 by signing this petition. Thank you Mister Mark Jordan of London, England!

Gaddafi’s Hot Bodyguards

You know, I gotta say, as far as crackpot Middle Eastern dictators go, Muammar Gaddafi at least has some style. Not only did he just propose that the UN abolish Switzerland, he also sets up Bedouin tents wherever he travels and has a crack squad of hot female bodyguards who are all trained to kill. How awesome is that? I’m all for dictators taking more cues from, uh, Raul Julia in Street Fighter. I would also like my own crack squad of hot female bodyguards who are all trained to kill, please.

Tamerlane Phillips Speaks Out (and Wants You to Buy Him a $3.5 million Dollar Condo)

Tamerlane Phillips, son of posthumously disgraced Papa John Phillips, has been posting YouTube clips explaining his feelings about half-sister MacKenzie Phillips’ shocking allegation of incest against their father. He also speaks about his guru, Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri and asks that you buy him a $3.5 million dollar condo in New York City. These videos are weirdly compelling, I warn you.

It’s good to see that Papa John didn’t screw all his kids up…
