Somebody really loves kittens and rock and roll over at The Kitten Covers. I’m not a cat fan but I sure do like these covers.

Some real cool kitties.

The Metamorphosis - 2007

Throughout the years I’ve seen these creepy, but amazing images on Tumblrs and various blogs but I never knew who the artist was. Coilhouse recently did a post on these human-animal hybrid x-rays and they’re by Italian artist Benedetta Bonichi

Check out the rest of Benedetta Bonichi’s work on her website To See in the Dark.

‘The Importance of Being Morrissey’

From 2003, The Importance of Being Morrissey is the most revealing and quotable documentary made on Steven Patrick Morrissey.

In it he compares meat eating to child abuse; attacks the Royal Family and Tony Blair; responds to the accusations of racism; and we hear about his depression. There’s also some great concert footage, and a mixed selection of celebrity fans who explain their fervor for the Mozz: J K Rowling identifies with Morrissey in a darkened room, though still won’t give up bacon; former neighbor, playwright Alan Bennett couldn’t say his name, but thinks he has an interesting face with a story to tell; Will Self likes his muscular intellect; Noel Gallagher thinks he is the greatest ever lyricist; Chrissie Hynde thinks people who don’t get him can go fuck themselves; Bono thinks he’s funny; and Nancy Sinatra says he’s a great hugger.

I’m just here to try and make you feel good, okay?

If you’re like me, you’re probably a sucker for this kind of stuff.

These pups are rushing into things.  I always recommend waiting to marry until you’ve lived a little…at least until the age of five in dog years.

Incredibly creepy meerkat mask

Calling all budding horror directors! Looking for a unique, bizarre and terrifying mask to adorn the face of your killer? Then look no further - this is the Elliot’s Costume & Fancy Dress shop of Belfast’s “meerkat” mask. It’s based on the really fucking annoying “Compare The Markets” adverts in the UK. Here’s one:

So you see, it would also be giving your killer a satirical, anti-consumerist twist. And horror critics love that kind of shit.

The mask can be yours for only £8.50GBP - if interested, you can order it here

Thanks to Patrick Baston.

In The Cat Inside William Burroughs paid a great compliment to his favorite animals:

“My relationships with my cats has saved me from a deadly, pervasive ignorance.”

Now, isn’t that a true thing? That our relationship with animals can have such a benevolent influence. I’m spending the week looking after a friend’s dog (a cute, wee strawberry-blonde, Lakeland Terrier), who has, over the years, taught me much about myself, for which I will always be grateful.

In thanks for that, here is a small selection of some interesting people and their lovely animal companions.

What better way to freak the hell out of your house guests than with Dan Witz’s What the %$#@? Goat decal.

The WTF Michael “grate” graphic is backed by 1/8” thick plastic that lifts the art piece off the wall giving it a 3-D quality. 4 self-adhesive, removable 3M mounting squares are included for installation.

The decal sells for $30.00 over at Blick.
