Psychomania

After referencing Psychomania in the post about Beyond The Doors and finding this clip, I had to post this here too. As I wrote in the other post, I found a whole bunch of weird things on VHS tapes for $2.99 in a lower Manhattan “Checks Cashed” place and one of the things I purchased there was Psychomania
, a British horror flick about a death and frog worshipping biker gang. I’ve seen this film more times than I want to admit to, and I have the groovy soundtrack, too.
This movie is so wack it’s unbelievable. Jaw-dropping scene after jaw-dropping scene, but what’s strange about such a ridiculous film is how decent the acting is. Usually low budget 70s horror movies had terrible acting, but this film had decent actors in it like Beryl Reid, Nicky Henson (a Shakespearian actor) and Oscar-winner George Sanders (in his final role before committing suicide). It’s quite watchable for a “bad” (as in “good bad”) film. Entertaining even. This clip perfectly captures why Psychomania is so great.
