I was hoping this would show up on YouTube in uninterrupted form. Stamping Ground is a most excellent film documenting the 1970 Holland Music Festival which took place in Rotterdam in June of 1970 and drew an estimated 350,000 people.

In addition to having a shitload of great bands, the film has more than ample footage of nude hippies dancing in drug-induced abandon interspersed with languid shots of Mother Nature doing her thing. It was called the Dutch Woodstock for good reason.

The performances are generally superb. There’s also a very amusing interview with Grace Slick concerning the Vietnam War. Her take on things is rather witty and perverse.
