Dystopian LEGO cyberpunk city is straight out of ‘Blade Runner’

This entry by the BroLUG team at the BrickFair last year in Chantilly, Virginia, is mind-blowing in its fidelity to the visions of William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, Philip K. Dick, and most especially Ridley Scott and Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, responsible, respectively, for the direction and screenplay of the 1982 movie Blade Runner.

“It’s a cyberpunk display, near future city, Japan-esque,” says one of the BroLUG team in the video below, continuing, “There’s a joke running that we were trying to use every color possible in the display. … we’ve got scala pink, sand blue, and some other weird ‘80s, ‘90s colors.”

In a way, this is the only Lego recreation I really appreciate—because it’s so un-Lego.
