Modelling scout named in Epstein files found dead in Paris home
Daniel Siad, a modelling scout whose name is mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files, has been found dead in Paris.
His body was discovered on July 21st by a 28-year old woman who was staying with him at his home in the suburb of Colombes, with Le Parisien reporting that the 69-year old died of a cardiac arrest after a neighbour administered CPR on him.
Despite this, a post-mortem will be carried out, with the Nanterre prosecutor’s office stating that “an investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery.”
Siad, who faced allegations of rape from former Swedish model Ebba P Karlsson in February this year, appears in the Epstein files personally introducing models he’d discovered through his modelling agency, What’s Up Management and large scouting network to the disgraced financier.
The Swedish-French scout ran dozens of networks across the world, with scouts working for him in Barcelona, Paris, Eastern Europe, Morocco and Cuba, among many others.
His presence in the files sees him forwarding images and descriptions of many of his discoveries to Epstein via email. However, he maintained that he never had any knowledge of the crimes Epstein was carrying out, insisting that the convicted sex offender had “taken advantage of [his] trust” and that no-one he ever introduced to the financier ever complained of their treatment.
This comes after a similar story in 2022 when Jean-Luc Brunel, another modelling scout whose name appears in the files procuring young women for Epstein, died in prison after his arrest by French authorities in 2020.
Brunel mentioned Siad in an email held by the Department of Justice, explicitly describing him as a “scout or recruiter of girls and/or women for J. Epstein.”
