Australian artist Sam Jinks’ peculiar human sculptures:
The scary thing about both sculptures is not what might be happening to the figures - though this is sinister - but rather their comprehensive level of detail. The verisimilitude in the treatment removes you from the comfort of analogous images in the history of art. In the tradition of figurative sculpture, the agonised figure - from Ghiberti to Kollwitz - is bathed in aesthetic heroism.
The allure of a robust sculptural medium is not for Jinks. Rather, with skills that exceed the standards of the wax museum, Jinks makes the skin look like skin, which is luminous and penetrated by light. You could imagine seeing pores and follicles if you took a microscope to the surface.

This week, Time magazine designates the top 10 guerrilla artists deemed “hip” enough to make it into Time magazine. Along with the usual suspects —Fairey, Banksy—they do some hat-tipping to lesser known forebears like Xavier Prou, and Simon Rodia, whose Watts Towers have been celebrated by everyone from Charles Mingus to Andy Warhol.

The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers “Galerie der Gegenwart”. Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.

Alex Kovas (born 1977) is a Russian-British male model in the fitness and fashion industries. He gained notoriety within the furry fandom after a number of videos featuring Kovas were posted to his YouTube account; the videos depict Kovas posing in a combination of body paint and animal masks.

I like this this! Pulp Book is collaboration between supermodel Joni Harbeck and photographer Neil Krug. The book will feature 200 pulp inspired images. Neil Krug explains his book:
Pulp is an upcoming photo book of psychedelic images made to look like old school paperback covers. The book features supermodel Joni Harbeck exclusively as the heroine in a world of fabricated dramas. Everything in the book has been photographed with expired polaroid film to put across the mood of looking at a beautifully beat to hell dusty LP cover.
Putting this book together has been my favorite project to date. The book reflects our love for artists such as Robert McGinnis, Tanino Liberatore, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and a slew of others. Their work is a major influence for this project.

I have chosen to base my film on a classical orchestrated piece because of the unique sound and personality that comes with each acoustic instrument.
