NASA’s beautiful and formidable images of Hurricane Irene, taken today from the International Space Station, as the hurricane moves devastatingly ever closer to the east coast of America.
Cameras mounted on the International Space Station captured new views of Hurricane Irene as it churned across the Bahamas at 3:47 p.m. EDT on August 25, 2011. Irene, which is a massive and powerful category 3 hurricane, is moving north-northwest toward a likely brush with the outer banks of North Carolina Saturday before tracking up the mid-Atlantic states and a possible path over the metropolitan New York area and New England late this weekend.

I like this Roland TR-808 Drum Machine flash drive for $39.99 over at Alkota Beats. You can pre-order ‘em now, but they won’t be available until October 1, 2011.
If you have no use for a flash drive, you might be interested in, however, the Roland TR-808 Drum Machine pillow on Dawanda‘s website. The pillow by Softmachines retails for € 99.00 or $140.00.

More goodness for you weekend hippies.
The Universe is psychedelic. Just take a look.
Or just close your eyes.
This wonderfully insightful documentary on one of the 20th centuries most significant discoveries will make you long for the day when pharmaceutical-quality LSD is once again made available to adults who want to experience it. As humanity seems to be on a de-evolutionary course, the responsible and conscious use of LSD may be one of the only genuinely effective antidotes to what ails us.
Forget Prozac, Klonapin, alcohol and TV, let’s legalize Hofman’s potion and re-awaken the beauty at the core of who we all are.
And for you naysayers who still think LSD was some badass hippie shit with little or no redeeming qualities, get off your computers now. Without acid, this technology we’re using at this very moment would probably not exist as it does in its present form. Suggested reading: click here.
According to the Porsche website, the hookah “made out of TecFlex material,” will be available at the end of July. I wonder how much this sucker is going to cost?
The extraordinary Porsche Design Shisha combines high-quality materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and glass with the timeless and unique design approach of the luxury brand. Puristic and stylish at the same time. The Porsche Design Shisha is made in Germany and stands at a height of 55 centimetres. It only shows a discreet branding on the aluminium top of the Shisha and comes with a long flexible tube made out of TecFlex material, which is also used for the classic Porsche Design TecFlex writing tools.

The 1960 Plymouth Fury had the option of a dashboard record player: the RCA Victor “Highway Hi-Fi”. It could play up to fourteen “45” records consecutively.
To avoid records skipping this set of wheels had to have been a very smooth ride.

I blogged about EOL (End of Life) robot band’s cover of the B-52’s “Rock Lobster” here on Dangerous Minds before. Now EOL is back again with its cover of Manson’s “The Beautiful People.” The “Rock Lobster” cover is still superior in my humble opinion, but this is pretty cool.
