Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh bookend some weirdo who wandered into a Boing Boing photo shoot.

As a hardcore Mighty Boosh fan, I am ashamed to say that I only just discovered this wonderful Pogo mashup of bits and pieces from the late great BBC comedy show, which may have been the funniest and most surreal thing to ever appear on the airwaves.

The title of the piece is “Zoo Zoo” and features Pogo’s trademark tight edits/cuts in which shards of dialog and soundtrack are transformed into seamless musical collages filled with quirky charm.

I am patiently awaiting a Mighty Boosh feature length film. Pleeeeeease.

Let the good vibes begin…

“Murmurs Of Middle-Earth,” a new work in progress from Australia-based remix wizard Pogo, is one of the sweeter things I’ve heard in the past couple of days. Pogo is a bit of a one trick pony, but I like the trick and still find it alluring.

Pogo, Nick Bertke, will be kicking off a tour of the USA in March. I’m wondering how his work will translate to a live context. Word is he’ll be at SXSW and if so I’ll be there to see for myself.

This is pretty wonderful. Pogo composed ‘Wishery’ using “vocal syllables, musical chords and sound effects recorded from the 1937 Disney classic Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.”

Pogo is an electronic music producer currently living in Perth, Western Australia. He is known for his work recording small sounds from a single film or scene and sequencing them to form a new piece of music.
